When Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast many engaged couples watched their wedding dreams wash away along with their homes, jobs and possessions. Mother Nature shattered their fantasy fall weddings as the reality of her wrath destroyed wedding halls, separated their families and forced wedding dates into an uncertain future. Or so they thought….
In 2005, in an effort to make two couples shattered dreams become reality, Brave Street Productions of New York selected Creative Cakes by Vickie, for their exquisitely designed wedding cakes to provide the dream wedding cake for one of their lucky brides.
The company made its national television debut on the Women’s Entertainment network (WE) special, Katrina Weddings: A Second Chance.
